Arthur Mellows is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people and play a key role in supporting students within the College. They will be a caring, creative, proactive and enthusiastic individual with the ability to support high quality teaching and raise attainment for students across various curriculum areas.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our students thrive academically, emotionally and socially. The role requires the candidate to work closely with teachers and other support staff. Your day will be spent in classrooms, working alongside students in small groups or supporting a student on a one to one basis to fully understand the lesson. Learning Support Assistants move around the College to support students with their education. We are looking for an empathetic and adaptable individual who thrives under pressure and has the natural ability to solve challenges. The role requires good physical and emotional resilience as part of this role will be to provide personal care for physically disabled students as required. To support our students the ideal candidate will have a good standard of written and spoken English and Maths skills.

We are looking to appoint an additional cleaner to join our busy Site Team. The College is a large site and all areas have to be cleaned on a daily basis. Staff are friendly and supportive and the ability to work as part of a team is paramount. You will be responsible for cleaning a designated area of the College and will be provided with all the necessary equipment.

A vacancy has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join Manor Drive Primary Academy, a new school that is part of the Four Cs Multi-Academy Trust. The successful candidate will be someone with high levels of motivation; a commitment and enthusiasm to children’s learning; an ability to inspire and motivate our future generations; and promote a culture that challenges children to reach the highest levels of social and academic achievement.
Manor Drive Primary Academy opened in September 2022. The school initially opened to a Reception cohort and will grow to full capacity over the next 6 years. This is an exciting time to join a new project as we work hard to provide an excellent level of education for our pupils and to create a positive school community to serve the Manor Drive area. The Academy is supported by the MAT with all schools involved sharing a common interest in improving the standards of education for children in Peterborough. The role will be fast paced, varied and child centred. The successful candidate will support teaching staff to deliver excellent learning opportunities and to meet children’s needs. Knowledge of Early Years and National Curriculum is desirable and experience in delivering first aid, personal care, individualised support programmes and classroom management is important.
