      Pastoral and Behaviour Assistant

      Salary: £22,723 this includes an annual R&R of £2000 for Early Help Assessment management

      Reporting to: Pastoral and Behaviour Manager

      Hours per week: 35 hours 

      Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.15pm Friday 8.00am – 2.10pm

      Lunch: 50 minutes unpaid (Paid duties are available)

      Grade: Grade 6 Point 7

      Actual Salary: £22,723 this includes an annual R&R of £2000 for Early Help Assessment management

      Working pattern: Term Time plus 5 days.

      These will be the staff training days over the school year. 

      The Manor Drive Secondary Academy is a brand new, oversubscribed school in the north of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The school is very much the centre of the local community and is situated amongst a thriving new housing estate. We welcomed the first cohort of 120 Year 7 students in September 2022.       We are looking for a Pastoral and Behaviour Assistant to join our friendly team where student outcomes are paramount. The successful candidate will provide mentoring to students to support them with their social and emotional requirements. The role would include implementing various strategies to manage poor behaviour with a focus on prevention before the issues escalate. It would be important for the successful candidate to have excellent communication skills. The individual would need to be tactful and diplomatic whilst working with students and teachers alike. Experience in liaising with parents / carers and young people would be an advantage. 

      The role would include managing a case load of young people and families with the Early Help Assessment process. Planning, delivering and reviewing support plans to improve outcomes for children. This will be a varied, busy and rewarding role. There will be a requirement to be flexible and a willingness to do what is required to support a growing team.
