We aim to enhance the life opportunities of our pupils by providing them with the knowledge, skills and values they need to go on to be successful in life. We want to expand pupil’s horizons by offering them a curriculum which offers both academic rigour and memorable life experiences.

As a school, we wish to develop pupils who are aspirational, socially responsible and physically active. Working in partnership with our parents and wider community, we seek to enhance the opportunities available to all pupils, regardless of their background.

Our children leave Hampton Vale ready for their next stage of life and educational journey with lasting happy memories of their primary school years.

    Seedlings and Little Seedlings Nursery

Seedlings and Little Seedlings Nursery is a purpose built term-time nursery that caters for children between the ages of 4 months - 4 years. The nursery is operated by our school, and we have four nursery rooms that are designed to provide the children in our care with the highest level of early year's education through our child-centred approach. Our highly-skilled, friendly and caring nursery team put the needs and interests of each of our children at the centre of their practise, and we have developed our own innovative curriculum that is designed to support children's development within teach of the 7 areas within the Early Years Framework: communication & language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.

We have planned topics that are designed to support each child's natural curiosity about the world around them. Within each topic we have linked high quality curriculum books that will support the children's understanding of each subject area, as well as expose them to high quality texts at all points throughout the year. Developing a love of reading is a priority for our nursery in order to support children's vocabulary development, and we are always adding new books to our extensive nursery book corner! Within our curriculum we also plan for exciting curriculum experiences for our children to take part in. Our curriculum experiences include a trip to the local farm, visits from the emergency services, going on a dinosaur hunt, making porridge for the three bears as well as a visit from Cinderella. We also offer our nursery children weekly sessions with our P.E, Art, Music, Forest School and Performing Arts leads to further support their development in these areas.

Our Nursery was inspected by Ofsted in 2026 and the report can be found here.
