  • Ken Stimpson welcomes Steve Eadon, founder and CEO of Mingalaba

On Wednesday 26th November, our Year 8 French and Year 10 Italian students welcomed Steve Eadon to our school, founder and CEO of Mingalaba.  Steven shared how learning languages has helped to shape his career.  He spoke of travelling the world and working alongside renowned sports professionals.

He also shared how languages played a crucial role in his time at Arsenal Football Club along with his work across the football industry.  He highlighted the value of being able to speak multiple languages across a wide range of professions - students were surprised to discover how many opportunities language skills can unlock and how they can also help to develop resilience and tolerance.

Steve explained that he only realised the importance of languages later in life and this has inspired his mission over the past 15 years to promote language learning in schools nationwide.

We would like to thank Steve for joining us and inspiring our students. Learning languages can be so much more than just the words, it can open doors to the world!
